Jim
Brathwaite CBE (Chairman)
After
graduating in Zoology and Physiology at Sheffield University,
Jim’s early career was in accountancy, marketing and sales
with Beecham and Bayer Pharmaceuticals until he started his
own business designing training videos for industry in 1982.
This led him on to form Epic Interactive Media in
Brighton in 1989, which he built up to become one of
Europe’s largest multimedia companies, and a listed company,
employing 150 staff. He floated the company in 1996 becoming
Britain’s first Black CEO of a publicly quoted company.
He was appointed to the Board of SEEDA the Development
Agency for the South East of England in December 2001 and in
August 2002 was appointed Chairman. Jim is a member of the
national Small Business Council, with responsibility for
dealing with the Inland Revenue, and of the government’s
Export Advisory Committee for the ‘Americas’. He is also a
member of the Court of the Sussex University. He is a director
of the University of Greenwich, and also of the National
Business Angels Network Ltd. He was a director of Sussex TEC
Ltd from April 1993, which then became Sussex Enterprise in
1995, and he remained on the board until December 2002. He was
the founding Chairman of Business Link Sussex, holding the
post from 1996-2001, and also a founding Director of “Wired
Sussex”. He has
been: Treasurer of the Caribbean Advisory Group at the Foreign
and Commonwealth Office; Chairman of the Arundel Festival;
Governor of Brighton & Hove 6th Form College; a member of
the Council of the University of Sussex. He was awarded the
CBE for services to the Sussex economy in the New Year’s
Honours 2001.

Mark
Robinson-Sivyer (Managing Director)
Mark
Robinson-Sivyer has worked in sales and marketing for many
years in both the UK and abroad. Having run a number of his
own businesses in hospitality, he was the Principal involved
in the start-up of the C&B chain in Australia. Moving back
to the UK he owned and operated a number of successful
businesses in Commercial Surveying and Security Consultancy
before joining Exam on Demand.

Andrew
Rowland (Finance Director)
Having
trained as a Chartered Accountant, Andrew achieved
directorship of the UK aerospace subsidiary of Control Data
Corporation in his early thirties. He subsequently organised
the Management Buy-Out of the fast growing subsidiary in a
syndicated deal led by 3i, including MAM, Prudential, and CIN.
He exited profitably 5 years later, and since the early 1990s
has specialised in supporting SMEs during their formative,
fast growth years.

David
Blakeley (Technical Director)
David
Blakeley has been working in the Information Technology
industry and has successfully run a number of his own
businesses for many years. His involvement with Unilever and
as one of the founders of Oracle UK operating globally, led
him on to a successful career in consulting as acting CTO with
numerous enterprises and a Directorship with X-Tension, prior
to sale, before joining Exam on Demand Limited.

Mark
Brabham (Installation Consultant)
Originally
trained as a Mechanical Engineer and having spent 15yrs in
manufacturing rising to management, Mark left factory life and
tried his hand at Sales. Over the next decade in and out of
technical and capital equipment Sales found a an interest in
IT. Spent four years with a local solutions house providing
enterprise business management solutions such as Navision and
Access Accounts, the role involved business and system
analysis, project management and resource coordination in
order to deliver on time and on price. Mark's passion for
systems and attention to detail made him an ideal choice for
Exam on Demand Ltd.

Phil
Rowland (Business Development Manager)
Phil
joined Exam on Demand in April 2002.
Prior to this Phil, having gained his degree from
Brunel
University
,
worked as an Account Manager and Sales Consultant for an IT
company providing Recruitment Software and Technical Support.
For the last three years he managed International & multi
national accounts with such companies as Deloitte & Touché,
Capita, Addecco and Macall Associates.
He brings a wealth of experience in customer service
and attention to detail that ensures a smooth transition for
clients into the environs of electronic delivery.
