The "Exam On Demand" project at Highdown prison represents a partnership between DfES, the Prison Service, Exam On Demand and several exam boards. Exam on Demand have provided HMP Highdown with a dedicated network and application system which allows exams to be taken on a computer with little administrative overhead. The system is operational, with prisoners taking exams on an "On Demand" basis. This is solving the problem that had previously plagued the prison education department of prisoners moving on, between institutions, before the paper work necessary to take an exam can be completed.
